One of the eight forms of Indian Classical, Kathak originated in nothern India. Kathak forms a strong base and helps in the overall developement of a dancer. Starting from the footwork moving to tukhdas and todas (small dance compositions), Kathak is performed with enormous grace and pois. A highly expressive form of dance, the face plays an important role and is also used in story telling.
